What you will be doing:

• Work with product managers and engineers across Bamboo on project definition, technical specification, delivery, monitoring, and maintenance as we scale Bamboo’s products.

• Architect, build, and deploy highly resilient infrastructure, taking lead ownership of our Cloud environments, CI/CD pipelines, and clusters.

• Drive proactive monitoring, capacity planning, and infrastructure management to ensure a 99.9% system uptime across all core services, ensuring our systems never break because of scale.

• Safely leverage AI tools within your daily infrastructure and automation workflows to model faster delivery practices for the broader DevOps team, ensuring all AI-assisted configurations adhere strictly to Bamboo's data sovereignty and security standards.

• Maintain, optimize, and oversee self-hosted tooling and automation workflows.

• Write exemplary, secure, infrastructure-as-code (IaC) that can be easily understood and used by others.

• Actively mentor junior and mid-level DevOps engineers through pair sessions, knowledge sharing, and authoring RFCs, increasing the team's capabilities without taking on formal managerial tracking.

• Help establish engineering processes, tools, and systems (like rigorous post-mortems and disaster recovery drills) that will allow Bamboo to scale securely.

• Carry out security hardening activities (such as routine secrets rotation and network isolation) to reduce vulnerabilities and minimize attack surfaces.

• Monitor system performance and optimize cloud spend through right-sizing and architectural improvements.

• Stay continuously up to date with industry trends, global reports on breaches, and emerging attack vectors, thoroughly analyzing these trends to architect preemptive mitigation and system-hardening strategies.

Who You Are

• You have 4+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure roles in the fintech industry or on a scaling consumer product.

• Demonstrated mastery of modern infrastructure stack like AWS, GCP, Kubernetes orchestration, and Docker containers.

• Deep understanding of CI/CD frameworks (e.g., GitLab CI), self-hosted observability tools, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible).

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to partner closely with other cross functional teams.

• A passion for clean, testable infrastructure code and a relentless drive to optimize system performance and reliability.

• You are proficient with using git and GitHub/GitLab to manage configurations securely and find existing software to solve problems.

• You are a rockstar with project management/software tools: Jira, Notion, Gsuite.

• You are known for being a highly self-directed problem solver. You do not focus on just fixing bugs, but you mitigate entire classes of problems.

• You are a skilled communicator to both technical and non-technical audiences, and are known to articulate complex technical trade-offs clearly.
